- ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆Updated it's hard to say I must say that this truly this department is a very polite and easy enough to talk to. I have never been insulted by an officer yet and honestly they do treat you fair and respectful if they are given respect and that is very cool in my book! I truly believe they are doing the best they can in this druggy and homeless infested town. I now see in many situations their hands are tied and a lot shouldn't be blamed on them. I've meet many of them through my business and the troubles of the neighborhood it's in and I'm often out late in attention grabbing cars at dui hour picking up my wife, but they have always been cool, granted I show respect and I have nothing to hide. Let's face it this town is pretty safe and they seem to do a good job maintaining that. I really wish there was a solution to our towns junky and homeless problem , but I see now it's with in our city politics and government , the cops are doing what they can and the best they can and are not at fault . Maybe the city could focus less on ticketing and bleeding the visitors and students in downtown & they could adopt some sub stations in the worse neighborhoods * cough cough* like around the MISSION, train tracks , and maybe some bike cops on the trails ? So I officially change my rating to 4 stars from 2 stars and I will take my complaints to the city meeting about our extreme druggy and homeless problem the cops are good people and fair .By cadilina deville, July 12, 2017
